Terms of Service — Odontist+

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Odontist+ application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including dental professionals, clinic administrators, and any other individuals who access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Odontist+ is a cloud-based dental clinic management platform designed for dental professionals. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

Patient record management and dental charting (odontogram)
Appointment scheduling and calendar management
Treatment planning and documentation
Billing, invoicing, and payment tracking
Prescription and lab request management
Team and staff management tools
Analytics and reports for clinic performance

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration & Phone Authentication

To access Odontist+, you must create an account. During registration, you will be required to provide a valid mobile phone number for identity verification.

Phone Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication (provided by Google LLC) to verify your phone number via a one-time password (OTP). Your phone number is used solely for authentication and is not shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.

You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of Odontist+, you are responsible for:

Ensuring all patient data entered into the platform is accurate and updated
Obtaining proper patient consent before entering their personal or medical information
Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards governing patient data in your jurisdiction
Maintaining appropriate backups of critical clinical data
Using the Service only for lawful dental practice management purposes

You acknowledge that you, not Odontist+, are the data controller for patient records entered into the platform.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload or transmit harmful, illegal, or misleading content
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the platform
Share your login credentials with unauthorized individuals
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Use the Service for any purpose other than legitimate dental clinic management

Violation of the acceptable use policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6. Data Usage & Privacy

Odontist+ collects and processes certain data to provide its services. This includes your phone number, account information, and clinic data you enter into the platform.

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or patient data to any third party for commercial purposes.

Patient health data entered into Odontist+ remains your property and under your control. We act as a data processor on your behalf.

7. Subscription & Payments

Odontist+ is offered on a subscription basis (Solo and Pro plans). By subscribing:

You authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are subject to applicable taxes
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@odontistplus.com within 7 days of a charge for refund requests

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice to active subscribers.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, software, and intellectual property associated with Odontist+ are owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service solely for your dental practice management.

You retain ownership of all patient and clinic data you enter into the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Odontist+ and its operators shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from use of the Service
Any clinical decisions made based on information within the platform
Service interruptions due to technical issues, maintenance, or force majeure

The Service is provided as a management tool. Clinical decisions remain entirely the responsibility of the treating dental professional.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@odontistplus.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if:

You violate any provision of these Terms
We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority
Your account exhibits fraudulent or abusive behaviour

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of account closure.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
